Admissions

New Invention Learning Academy has Academy Status. This means that we are a state school offering free education to any child who meets our admission criteria, but are independent of the Local Authority.

We are not selective and serve our catchment as any other Walsall school. We receive our funding directly from the Department for Education. We employ our own staff; are responsible for the school building and grounds,  having more flexibility with our curriculum and how our budget is spent, with the child at the centre of every decision.

Our Trustees believe that being an academy gives parents at New Invention Learning Academy a better deal for their child.

Walsall Local Authority manage Junior Admissions (new pupils joining the school at the end of Year 2/beginning of Year 3), whilst we as a school manage our own mid-year admissions into all year groups.
