Paris Trip

At New Invention Learning Academy pupils have the opportunity to visit Paris in Year 6, something that pupils are enthusiastic about throughout their journey of learning French. 

Pupils: 

• Enjoy a number of rich cultural experiences, for example: visiting landmarks (EiffelTower, Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe),
• Boat ride on the River Seine
• Vimy Ridge
• Pupils use their speaking skills to have conversations especially during their visit to Parc Astérix, local souvenir shops where they have to ask for the cost of souvenirs/food and use Euros. 
• Trying French food, for example snails and making their own baguettes. During meal times pupils use their greetings/food vocabulary to order food.
